The Gold Coast Car Show is back! This popular annual event is one of the biggest car shows in Australia, and offers a colourful display of classic and modern vehicles of all types – polished and gleaming in the Gold Coast sun.
Taking place over two days, the Gold Coast Car Show comprises of two big events: the Rockabilly Retro Car & Caravan Show and the Inspirations Paint Gold Coast Car Show. This year will mark its ninth event on the Gold Coast, and it’s a must-attend for an incredible display of hundreds of different vehicles. On the event’s first day with the Rockabilly Retro Car and Caravan Show, expect to see a huge showcasing of vintage vehicles such as VW Beetles, Kombis, panel vans, and hot rods, alongside caravans of all types; and in the evening don’t miss the Fireworks Spectacular! On the second day, The Inspiration Paint Gold Coast Car Show will feature even more hot rods as well as muscle cars, prestige cars, 4x4s, dragsters, and more!
For bike enthusiasts, make sure to pay a visit to the Bike Arena, which will see a display of all things motorbike, from Harvey Davidsons and Evos to custom bikes and trikes. There will also be the Truck Arena, where you’ll be able to see trucks of all kinds; some large and some dazzling with impressive custom graphics.
As well as a shining display of bikes, trucks, and cars, the Gold Coast Car Show will offer lots of family-friendly entertainment, trade stalls, and good food to enjoy throughout. Show off your best moves with the R&R Dance Off, and see who wins best-dressed at the Mr Rocker & Ms Rockette Competition! Live music throughout the Gold Coast Car Show includes Little Stevie & The Tail Fins, The Jive Cats, Follow the Fox, and more. Let the kids blow off steam at the carnival rides, and make sure to have a browse at the Retro Vintage Market Stalls for a fantastic selection of auto products and services, rockabilly clothing, and novelty items. For all your food and refreshments at the event, stop by the International Food Court for a broad selection of tasty treats from all over the world.
The 2018 Gold Coast Car Show is not to be missed this winter, and will take place over one jam-packed weekend in Mudgeeraba on August 11 and August 12.
