The whale-watching season provides an excellent opportunity for people to see and observe these magnificent creatures up close. Whales can be seen off the coast from June to October. But, if you haven’t already, gather your family or friends, book a fantastic cruise, and cherish these moments.

The whale-watching cruises listed below are not to be missed.

Whales in Paradise

Whales In Paradise will bring you up close and personal with one of the most amazing creatures of the deep. There are two sessions available: 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Arrive at least 20 minutes before departure and check in once you arrive at the departure location. It is at the Hopo Ferry Information Kiosk in Surfers Paradise’s Appel Park. When boarding begins, take a seat in your desired place.

The crew will introduce themselves and begin the tour briefing once the cruise departs. Even though this is a whale-watching cruise, Whales In Paradise includes a Gold Coast Waterways Cruise with entertaining commentary on the way to the Humpback Highway. There will also be free kids’ activity packs available.

You’ll take the Gold Coast Seaway to the Humpback Highway. Guests will learn to spot whales, dolphins, and other marine life. The Whale Watching begins with expert commentary and the whale singing through underwater hydrophones.

Sea World Cruises

Sea World Cruises also offers expert-led Whale Watching excursions.

Whale-watching cruises depart from the Sea World Cruises Terminal on Seaworld Drive in Main Beach. You must check-in at least 20 minutes before the tour’s departure time.

Regarding departure times, there are various schedules throughout the day. The earliest departure is at 6 a.m., and you will board the Spirit of Migaloo II vessel. The next begins at 8 a.m. with the Kaiala vessel, followed by 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.

The number of passengers is limited to ensure everyone gets a rail-side view. You can listen to the whales sing through underwater hydrophones. When you find the humpback whales, you can watch them play against the Surfer Paradise skyline.

Sea World Cruises also offers tours. They provide a breathtaking Gold Coast whale-watching tour with VIP Captain’s Lounge. The VIP ticket grants you access to an exclusive position in the heart of the vessel command centre. Each time is limited to 15 people. Enjoy refreshments as you cruise out into the Broadwater, looking for whales.
