As December approaches, the allure of a perfect holiday destination becomes irresistible, and Broadbeach, Queensland, emerges as the ideal coastal haven. Nestled on the Gold Coast, this vibrant paradise beckons you with sun-soaked beaches, exciting events, and an atmosphere of festive cheer.

Let’s delve into why Broadbeach should be at the top of your December holiday destination list this year.

Pristine beaches

Thanks to the upcoming Christmas and New Year Holidays, December is one of our high seasons. But with kilometres of coastline at your disposal, it’s easy to find a serene section on the beach for swimming, surfing, or sunbathing. There’s lifeguard patrolled areas for safe swimming experiences, and with the beach just steps from our accommodation, it’s easy to get your toes sandy.

Enjoy early morning yoga to the sounds . Or jog the entire stretch of Broadbeach beach and go for a refreshing swim afterwards. Or simply take in the scenery and enjoy a leisurely stroll.

The weather is just perfection.

Some people like snow, skis, and hot chocolate for Christmas. You? You’d rather experience sun, surf, and margaritas. And Broadbeach has these aplenty.

Summer in Broadbeach is just perfect weather-wise. There are a few rain showers here and there, but most of the time, it’s sunny. Broadbeach QLD temperature hovers between 20°C and 31°C – perfect for sunbathing and water sports.

Shopping for Christmas presents in Broadbeach? Easy peasy

Heading to Broadbeach, Gold Coast, but still need to pack presents for Boxing Day? Don’t fret! This suburb might look laid back, but our shopping malls can go head to head with the ones you’ll find in major Australian cities.

Check out The Oracle Boulevard and The Oasis for gifts and more. The Oasis, for example, features boutiques, including Donna Donna, Seona’s at the Beach, and Danae Boutique. There’s also a Cotton: On outlet and some menswear stores.

You’ll also find the perfect gift at The Oasis if you’re planning to gift your loved one with jewellery, cosmetics, liquor, or homeware. The Oracle Boulevard also features a couple of fashion retail stores, so just cross the street if you need help finding what you’re looking for at The Oasis.

Didn’t find the perfect gift for your loved one? Visit Pacific Fair Shopping Centre instead. This large shopping centre features retail stores, salons, and electronics stores. You’ll find big-name and luxury brands here, including Bulgari, Calvin Klein, Coach, Gucci, Hermes, and more.

If you’re on a budget, fast fashion companies have outlet stores here. Buying toys for your little ones? Check out Kidstuff, EB Games, and Zing. The Pacific Fair Shopping Centre also features several bookstores and homeware stores.

You can take part in different activities before and during the holidays.

There’s plenty you can do in Broadbeach that doesn’t necessarily involve the beach. For example, you can check out different Christmas Day events in the suburb. Different restaurants offer special Christmas Eve parties and Christmas Day lunches.

There will also be a special Christmas event at the Broadbeach Mall from the 9th of December until the 17th of December. This event will feature gingerbread cookie decoration, crafts, and storytelling sessions. Kids and kids at heart will love the Santa selfie, which will happen from 5:30 in the afternoon until 8:30 at night every day.

Book your spot here to join the cookie decoration and crafts sessions.

Ring in the new year by watching the spectacular New Year’s Eve Fireworks

What’s a New Year celebration without some fireworks? If you want to see some amazing fireworks displays as you greet the new year, head to Broadbeach. There will be two fireworks displays in the suburb. One will happen at 8 PM to kick off the celebrations, while the second display will happen at midnight to welcome 2024 with a bang.

You can head over to Kurrawa Park to watch the display up close. Or better yet, stay in your room at Boulevard Towers for a more dramatic view. Our Broadbeach apartments have balconies where you can get a front-row seat to the New Year fireworks display.

The neighbouring Surfers Paradise will also have fireworks displays, so you’re in for a treat if you stay in Boulevard Towers Broadbeach.
